Effective 13 September 2026. Prime Bazar ("we", "us") operates primebazar.co.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
What we collect
- Account details - name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Order details - delivery address, items ordered, order history and communication with us.
- Payment details - for cash on delivery we record the amount collected. For online payments, card, UPI and bank details are entered directly with our payment partner and are not stored on our servers.
- Technical data - IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site working.
Why we use it
- To create and manage your account and process, deliver and support your orders.
- To send order, delivery, account and security messages.
- To send offers and newsletters, only if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is necessary with courier and logistics partners (to deliver your order), payment partners (to process online payments), email and SMS providers (to send you messages), and hosting providers, all of whom may use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law or by a lawful order.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent for marketing, and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. You can update most details yourself under your account profile. For anything else, email grievance@primebazar.co.in.
Security
The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are stored hashed, and access to customer data is restricted. No system is completely secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting you we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our store is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
